Soot keeps working after the fire is out
Fire damage does not stop the moment the flames are out. Soot is acidic, and left sitting on a painted wall, a countertop or metal fixtures it keeps etching into the finish for days afterward, which is why the cleanup has to start fast rather than wait for an insurance visit to get scheduled.
The damage is rarely only where the fire burned. Smoke travels through a building on its own, settling into cabinetry, ductwork and fabric rooms away from the actual flame, and every one of those surfaces needs to be assessed on its own rather than assumed clean because it looks untouched.

Deodorizing, not masking
An air freshener covers a smoke smell for an afternoon. It does not remove it, because the smell is coming from soot particles that have worked their way into porous material, not from something sitting on top of it. Our technicians clean and deodorize structural surfaces, cabinetry and contents rather than spraying over the problem, so the smell does not come back once the windows are shut again.
What can be cleaned gets cleaned. Some contents, upholstery and certain electronics get taken offsite for specialist cleaning rather than treated on site, and what is too damaged to save gets documented and replaced instead of run through a process that was never going to work on it.

We extract and structurally dry the building the same way we would for any flood, because a fire restoration that skips that step leaves a wet frame behind a freshly cleaned wall.
Once the structure is dry and the soot is gone, whatever has to come out and go back in, framing, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, goes through our own in-house Decorating Center. What comes out versus what gets saved
Demolition happens under containment
